It sounds like you are talking about is down all the birds you have and lose. It is very lightweight (lighter than a feather) fluffy gray white color particles, lint little. They can be as small as a fingernail on the little finger or as large as a quarter, depending on the part of the body comes. This is perfectly normal, and can not stop it. Your bird will lose some down all day preening and normal loss. There are also some smaller particles called dander, which can be seen flying. These are tiny particles almost like a little white powder. The grays have a lot of it, some Birds do not have much. Misting with warm water every day can help prevent this from taking too much of a disaster. Do not spray your bird in the face. It's nothing to worry about. Birds do not sweat.
