I have a problem with the batch files I am making...?
I am making a program called Parrot Software v.1.0. It replys to simple plain english phrases like "Hello!" or "Hi!". It's just a load of batch files really.
But when I try to make "How are you?" It doesn't work. It says that there is no such command, file, or program when I enter "How are you?". What's the problem?
By the way I also have a problem with the other program I am making called Curse Tutor v.1.0. Every time you swear it either says "No swearing at the DOS Prompt please. Thank you!"
or it can do something gruesome like turn all your word files to text only documents or deleting all the files on the disk. The problem is that dos can't tell the difference between PO and P. What's my problem there as well?
Not very clear on what you want to do but;
Echo How are you?
will make the "How are you?" message appear,
also text responses should be handled by a command input loop. Below in my "Sources List" for this answer shows a basic command loop with the escape command set to Exit
Type Hello and it should respond Hi!
Type Exit and the batch should quit. Remember the "==" comparison in DOS is case sensitive
